Lata Mangeshkar is recovering from COVID-19, a news report informs the singer is off the ventilator and have begun consuming solid food
Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar is stable now as she recovers from COVID-19. As reported in Indian Express.com the singer is now showing signs of improvement, she has begun consuming solid food from the last couple of days. Also, she is responding to the treatment pretty well. The portal informs the singer not being on a ventilator now. She was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Breach Candy Hospital after she tested positive for COVID-19 and was detected with pneumonia.
The portal states “Lata Mangeshkar has started having solid food from the last couple of days and is showing improvement. She is responsive and doing better. She is not on ventilator.” In addition to this, the singer’s spokesperson added, “She is stable and responding to treatment well, but will take time to be discharged from the hospital and continues to be in ICU. Due to her age, doctors want to make sure she is completely fine before getting back home.”
Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope sharing an update on her health told a reporter in Jalna, “Lata Mangeshkar’s condition is improving. I spoke to authorities of the Breach Candy hospital who updated me about her health. I told them that the spokesperson of the hospital should provide updates on the singer’s condition as people are eager to know about her health.”
